Creating a Sustainable Ecosystem through Promoting Public Health and Happiness
On 27 April 2017, LKK Health Products Group (LKKHPG) received the Outstanding CSR Award for the sixth consecutive time and was named a CSR Ambassador by The Mirror, an authoritative monthly magazine based in Hong Kong.
The advisory committee, which consists of government officials, business leaders and academic experts, recognised LKKHPG’s excellent performance in stakeholder responsibility, customer commitment, employee care, social engagement, environmental protection and corporate governance.
Over the years, LKKHPG has been devoted to CSR and creating shared value with stakeholders from different sectors. Building an ecosystem of health and happiness has been one of the key focuses at LKKHPG. In 2016, the Lee Kum Kee Family donated USD 21 million to set up the Lee Kum Sheung Center for Health and Happiness at Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health. The center is dedicated to exploring the positive mental, social and emotional factors that affect individual resistance to diseases. It aims to identify the link between emotions and physical health and promote a happier and healthier life.
Apart from integrating the advocacy of health and happiness into the core business, LKKHPG has been carrying out its six CSR commitments, namely responsibilities to health, quality, employees, partners, environment and community. For example, it has launched several charity programmes, including the Si Li Ji Ren Education Dream Support Programme and the Infinitus Walking Day Activity, and donated cash and supplies worth over RMB 190 million to society.
