Hugh Simon has over three decades of asset management and investment experience across multiple asset classes and strategies in Asia, Europe and the US. He started his career with Schroders in London, Australia and Hong Kong before joining Lazard in 1984 to establish their offices in the Far East (Hong Kong and Japan) where he was responsible for investment management and marketing for the Asian region.
Hugh founded the Hamon Investment Group in 1989 to initially focus on public markets investments for institutional clients looking for exposure to the higher growth Asian markets. An entrepreneurial visionary with deep conviction of Asia’s long term economic growth potential, Hugh has over 30 years of Asian regional investment experience and is a strong advocate of collaborative institutional partnerships. He strategically steered the group’s evolution into a multi-strategies platform by expanding expertise and product offering through acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Under Hugh’s leadership, Hamon have deployed and managed in excess of USD 2.8 billion of capital across various strategies and asset classes since inception.
